Bending Down to Listen

Yesterday I posted a large part of Psalm 116. As I read and reread it, there were four lines that jumped out at me.

I love the Lord because he hears my voice

and my prayer for mercy.

Because he bends down to listen,

I will pray as long as I have breath!

Isn’t that a wonderful picture to take into the week? The Creator of the universe bends down with compassion and interest to hear what’s on your heart. Wow!
